London: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its report continues the list of the poorest countries in the world, in which South Sudan ranks first with a GDP per capita of $492.72. The second number is Burundi, whose per capita GDP is 936.42 dollars. Nepal is number 40 on the list of the poorest countries. Thus Nepal is the poorest country in South Asia. Along with this, Pakistan’s number is 52nd while Bangladesh is 62nd and India is 63rd. The third and fourth African countries are the Central African Republic and the People’s Republic of Congo. Mozambique ranks fifth followed by Malawi, Niger, Chad, Liberia, and Madagascar respectively.
