Islamabad: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Umar Ayub has claimed that the government is appointing the Chief Election Commissioner as an ambassador to Canada. Speaking in the National Assembly session, he said that yesterday we had court orders to meet the founder. We were told there were security concerns, and the meeting would not take place. Umar Ayub said that Adiala Jail Superintendent Asad Waraich considers himself above the law, we showed him the court order and he threw it away. Criticizing Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and other members of the commission and demanding their resignation, Umar Ayub said that the Chief Election Commissioner and members should resign.
