Frankfurt: Germany made it easier to get visas for foreign skilled workers, implementing a second round of immigration law changes to address labor shortages.
According to the report, changes in immigration laws to attract foreign skilled workers to Germany were implemented from March 1.
Interior Minister Nancy Fesser says that foreign talent also has an important role in Germany’s development and prosperity, we are trying to attract more foreign talent by removing bureaucratic obstacles.
It should be noted that Germany is facing a severe shortage of manpower in several fields, including nursing. Germany implemented the first changes to immigration laws in November 2023. These changes were related to the issuance of the EU Blue Card.
Under the new rules, skilled workers with a degree from a professional institution or university and two years of experience will be able to come to Germany more quickly.
The third phase of changes to immigration laws will come into effect on June 1, 2024, related to the issuance of jobseeker cards in Germany.
