Rochdale: The house will be on fire, Ex-mp George Galloway, expelled from the Labor Party, has made a dramatic political comeback and won the Rochdale by-election. 6000 votes of the former Labor MP. The victory has become a new headache for Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer. Left-wing firebrand and former Big Brother George Galloway has focused on Gaza and has been outspoken against the Israeli invasion. He tried to win the support of Rochdale’s Muslim population through its mosques. Labor leader SIR KEIR Starmer faces another headache as former Labor MP George Galloway makes a dramatic political comeback by winning the Rochdale by-election. The by-election was left vacant by the death of veteran Labor MP Sir Tony Lloyd in January. George Galloway, the leader of the Workers’ Party of Great Britain, won nearly 40 percent of the vote. Independent candidate David Anthony Tully surprised with 6,638 votes. Tory candidate Paul Simon Ellison was third with 3,731 votes, while former Labor candidate Azhar Ali was fourth with 2,402 votes. He did not appear in the count.
