The Netherlands: A court in the European country of the Netherlands has charged two Pakistani citizens with publicly inciting the murder of far-right and anti-Muslim leader Geert Wilders. According to Reuters, the Dutch court continued. Prosecutors have asked authorities in Pakistan to extradite the two suspects, aged 55 and 29, to the Netherlands to stand trial, the statement said. He was publicly inciting people to kill Geert Wilders for a reward, but the court statement did not say how he did the incitement. The court scheduled the first hearing in the case for September 2. The Netherlands and Pakistan do not have an extradition treaty, making the prospects for a trial unclear. Earlier in September last year, a Dutch court sentenced the former Pakistan cricketer to 12 years in prison. He was prosecuted for publicly encouraging the killing of Wilders. The former Pakistani cricketer was charged with murder inciting a criminal act and inciting violence against Geert Wilders. Khalid Latif lives in Pakistan and did not attend the court hearing. After the court verdict, Geert Wilders wrote in a post on X: ‘I hope that by extraditing them (the two suspects) to the Netherlands and convicting them. will be sent to jail.’
