UK parliament uproar over allowing vote on Gaza ceasefire, speaker forced to apologize

The Big Ben Tower and the Elizabeth Tower of the British Parliament lit up messages against Israel’s ongoing brutality in Gaza

London: There was an uproar in the British Parliament after allowing the vote on the ceasefire in Gaza, after which the speaker had to apologize to the members. A resolution from the Scottish National Party was tabled in Parliament for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, with ruling Tories and Scottish National Party (SNP) members protesting the speaker’s decision to allow the vote.
After the protest in the British Parliament, the Speaker apologized to the members of Parliament for the resolution. On the other hand, thousands of people demonstrated outside the Parliament under the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza on the Big Ben Tower and the British Parliament. Messages against Israel’s ongoing brutality in Gaza were lit up on the Elizabeth Tower. Thousands of people protested against Israel’s aggression in Gaza on the Big Ben Tower.
