Lahore: The first shock of failure in Pakistan’s general elections has come to light. Tehreek-e-Pakistan patriarch Jahangir Khan Tareen has decided to step aside from politics by resigning from the post of party chairman. “I want to congratulate the opposition,” Tareen said in a post on X. He thanked all IPP members, saying, “I have the utmost respect for the will of the people of Pakistan.” I wish him all the best. “I will continue to serve my country to the best of my ability in a private capacity. Pakistan will be seen developing in the next few years,” he added.
