Washington: The United States stopped the sale of drones worth 3 billion dollars to India. According to British media reports, the United States demanded a meaningful investigation from India into the conspiracy to kill the pro-Khalistan Sikh leader Gurptunat Singh Pannu. The US government says that drones will not be sold to the Modi government until a full investigation into the conspiracy against Gurptunat Singh Pannu. In June 2023, Indian government officials attempted to assassinate Sikh leader Gurptunt Singh Pannu. Pannu lives in New York and holds dual citizenship in the US and Canada. In November 2023, the Indian agent was arrested by the US agency after which he confessed to the involvement of Indian authorities in the murder of Gurptunt Singh. A week before the attack, an agreement was reached between the United States and India for the purchase of drones. The proposed purchase included 15 Sea Guardian drones for the Indian Navy, while the Indian Air Force and Army were to get 8 Sky Guardian drones each.
