Corruption reduced in 2023, Pakistan ranked 29th: Transparency International claims

In the overall ranking, Pakistan fell to 133 from 140, and the Corruption Index report of 180 countries has been released.

London: Transparency International (TI), an organization that monitors corruption in the world, in its latest annual report ‘Corruption Perception Index 2023’ has improved its ranking of Pakistan by 7 places and placed it at 133rd position. Transparency International has released the Corruption Index report of 180 countries and according to this report, Pakistan recorded a reduction in corruption in 2023. The report said that Pakistan’s score on the reduction of corruption was 29 with an improvement of 2. Pakistan’s score in 2022 was 27. Transparency International’s report states that corruption in Pakistan has decreased in 2023 and the country has improved by 2 points to rank 29, while Pakistan has moved from 140 to 133 in the overall ranking. Transparency International said that Pakistan has improved in the Corruption Perception Index in 2023.
