London: Pakistan has become the first in the world in diabetes. According to the statistical data sharing account ‘The Spectator Index’ on the micro-blogging website X (formerly Twitter) of the ‘International Diabetes Federation’. The data has been shared according to which the rate of diabetes in Pakistan is 30.8%. In this report, data from more than 30 countries around the world is given, in which Pakistan is the first while Kuwait is the second. The incidence of diabetes is 24.9% and in Egypt, which ranks third in the list, the incidence of diabetes is 20.9%. According to the diabetes statistics, Qatar is fourth with a rate of 19.5%, Malaysia is fifth with a rate of 19% and 18.7%. Saudi Arabia is at the sixth position. On the other hand, the lowest proportion of diabetes patients is in Nigeria, where this disease was recorded at 3.6%. According to the International Diabetes Federation, the number of diabetes patients in Pakistan has exceeded 30 million.
